The
NEW VISA POLICY was issued by the Ministry of Justice
and Human Rights late 2003.
The Policy grants a visa-free facility to visitors
who are citizens from countries which also provide similar
facility to Indonesian citizens. They are nationals
from Thailan, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam,
Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Chile, Marocco, Peru,
Vietnam.
Visitors who are nationals from the United States, Australia,
South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Denmark, the United
Arab Emirates, Finland, Hungary, the United Kingdom,
Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Norway,
France, Poland, Switzerland, New Zealand, Taiwan are
eligible for the Visa On Arrival obtained on
arrival; or prior to entry.
Other nationals MUST hold a visa BEFORE entering
Indonesia.
The new policy cuts the length of the free - visa stay
from 60 days to 30 days per entry.
V.O.A. can be obtained through Indonesian Immigration
at port of entry :
A) International Airports : Polonia of
Medan, Sultan Syarif Kasim II of Pekan Baru, Tabing
of Padang, Soekarno-Hatta of Jakarta, Juanda of Surabaya,
Ngurah Rai of Bali, Sam Ratulangi of Manado.
B) International Sea Ports : Sekupang
+ Batu Ampar +Nongsa + Marina Teluk Senimba of Batam,
Bandar Bintan Telani Lagoi & Bandar Sri Udana Lobam
of Tanjung Uban, Belawan of Belawan, Sibolga of Sibolga,
Yos Sudarso of Dumai, Teluk Bayur of Padang, Tanjung
Priok of Jakarta, Padang Bai of Bali, Jayapura of Jayapura.
US$ 25 for a 30 day visa. US$ 10 for a 3 day visa.
This new visa policy cuts the length of the stay from
60 days to 30 days per entry, and is valid effective
FEBRUARY 1, 2004.
